Patient Safety & Quality Data

Our Commitement to Patient Safety and Quality.

Patient Safety is simply defined by the World Health Organisation as the prevention of errors and adverse effects to patient associated with healthcare.

At Prince Court Medical Centre, patient safety is paramount. We have created a culture where emphasis is given to patient safety, ultimately increasing awareness and trust as healthcare providers via communication and leadership.

Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Data

In the Prince Court AMS programme, we closely track antimicrobial usage, monitor processes and measure outcome indicators. The effect of stewardship initiatives on antimicrobial usage and resistance patterns are then analysed by our AMS team. This information is then used to provide feedback to our consultants.

Objectives

  1. Promotion of optimal selection of antibiotic regime
  2. Prevention of antibiotic resistance
  3. Ensure improved patient treatment outcomes
  4. Improvement of antibiotic susceptibilities to target antibiotics
  5. Driving down of patient and hospital costs
